Team Members Attend National Conference in D.C.

GlobalJax Team Visits Czechia Embassy 2015

February 8-11, 2017

Select members of the GlobalJax team will travel to Washington D.C. to connect with hundreds of leading experts in the fields of international exchange, foreign affairs, and diplomacy from across the country and the world. The Global Ties U.S. meeting theme for 2017, Unity in Community, emphasizes the need and opportunity for increased collaboration amongst International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and other exchange program partners to achieve our shared goal of building and supporting networks of leaders to increase peace and prosperity both at home and abroad. Now more than ever, our collective work in strengthening ties between individuals and nations is critical.

The Global Ties U.S. National Meeting is the premier gathering of organizations, U.S. government agencies, and leaders in the international exchange field. Held each year in Washington, DC, the National Meeting brings together nearly 1,000 participants over four dynamic days to gain high-level insights on trends affecting our field, engage in in-depth professional development opportunities, and build networks to strengthen international exchange with 45+ organizations exhibiting in our meeting hub.

This year, we're happy to contribute to the National Meeting Planning team as shepherds for sessions on International Exchange and Disability Programming and Partnership Development. We will be posting from the conference, sharing insights and photos to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and updating the blog.

The Global Ties U.S. National Meeting is a professional development program sponsored and funded by the Office of International Visitors, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State, under the authority of the Fulbright-Hays Act of 1961, as amended.
