Marketing & Communications Internships


The Marketing and Communications Internship Program is designed for college students exploring and building careers in marketing, communications, nonprofit administration and international business. Primary duties include collaborating with a team on strategic marketing, contributing material and research to the GlobalJax website, managing social media profiles and weekly communication. Depending on their backgrounds, skills, and interests, interns may also work alongside the GlobalJax staff and board of directors on special projects, programming for international visitors, fundraising as well as daily administrative functions.

Qualifications (applicants should have most of the following qualifications):

  • Ability to work well in groups

  • Passion for creative thinking and strategy

  • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills

  • Experience with MS Office (Access, Word, & Excel) and strong typing ability

  • Experience with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, etc.)

  • Interest citizen diplomacy, public diplomacy, international education and exchange

  • Event planning background/interest

  • Flexibility and willingness to work beyond the parameters of a job description

  • Maturity and a sense of humor

  • All majors are welcome

Details:

  • Start and end dates are flexible and based on the students' academic calendar

  • Hours and days can be negotiated, but interns are preferred to work on a regular schedule

  • This is an unpaid position and intended for college students

  • Both U.S. and non-U.S. citizens are welcome to apply
