GlobalJax is pleased to announce the Board of Directors that was elected by the membership and presented at the 2011 Annual Meeting which took place October 4th at the Jacksonville Public Library Main Branch. A TOAST TO GEORGIA: GEORGIAN COOKING NIGHT 2011
Knives chopping, pots steaming, hands kneading, grill smoking, wine drinking. As soon as I walked into Georgian Cooking night last Wednesday, all of this activity was already buzzing. Our Georgian visitors were already in full swing and had taken to heart the mission to provide authentic Georgian food for us as their Jacksonville hosts.

Get Connected in Northeast Florida
If you take a look around Northeast Florida, international influences are around every corner. You can’t drive more than a few miles without passing a European bakery, an authentic Asian or African restaurant, or a Latin American or Halal grocery. In fact, our visitors consistently tell us how pleasantly surprised they are to meet so many locals who speak their native language, whether it is French, Portuguese, Arabic, or even Hausa (just to name a few).
